CLASSICAL BALLET - Junior Levels
ages 6 onwards
Vaganova examination classes are offered from Pre - Primary to Preparatory Level 1 (Vaganova) . These classes thoroughly cover all of the examination work required and more. With Vaganova training being instilled & now examined, our students are now receiving one of the best training methods in the world. Once again - small class sizes ensure attention to detail in training and caters to each students' specific requirements.
In addition to these classes, Junior Students also attend weekly stretch and strength classes which are designed specifically for ballet students and which enable the students to be able to do their ballet work with safety and freedom..
CLASSICAL BALLET - Major Students
Vaganova Levels 1 to Excellence & RAD Intermediate to Solo Seal

TBSA also offers full training in Vanagova & RAD Major Examinations. As with the junior students, class sizes are VERY limited and, with exceptional training from our very talented and respected teachers, our students excel in both their examinations and their careers.
Major students have well balanced variety of classes that they must attend every week..

We also cater for those students who are "late starters" and offer a comprehensive training regime to bring them into the world of ballet. TBSA teachers believe that dance training should be available to ALL students regardless of age. It is never too late!
​
However, our minimum hours guidelines for training must be adhered to.

CONTEMPORARY & LYRICAL CLASSES
Junior to Advanced Levels

Contemporary features strongly at TBSA and we are now also offering also offer specialist classes for boys and juniors.
We offer modern, free form, commercial and classical contemporary work.
These are thoroughly enjoyable classes that our students LOVE!!! Come and give them a go :)

INTERNATIONAL CHARACTER DANCE
Junior to Advanced Levels

TBSA offers training in this world renowned Character Dance method, that has been created by the incredible ALIDA SEGAL.
Miss Segal studied under Madame Marina Berezowsky A.M. and was also a student of the world famous MOISEYEV SCHOOL in Moscow, Russia.
We are proud to be able to offer this incomparable character training method to all dancers.

ASSESSMENT / TRIAL CLASSES

WHAT DO I DO NOW ??
New students will be assessed by a teacher in a pre-assigned class prior to enrolling. Each of our highly accomplished instructors will take age, ability and maturity into account when assigning a grade level to a new student.
A trial class or assessment will also give you and your child the opportunity to decide whether TACPA/TBSA is the right school for your family before you commit fully.
New students are not required to wear our uniform while being assessed or attending their trial class, however, proper ballet wear is required:
For girls: Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Hair should be worn up and away from the face and neck.
For boys: Tights, a plain tee, and ballet shoes. Younger boys may wear pants or shorts in place of tights.

Please arrive 20 minutes early for your trial class/assessment to allow time to park, fill out paperwork, and meet the assessment teacher. We will not admit a child into a class for a trial if the class has already begun. We also do not allow trials in classes which are full.
