ABOUT US

The Ballet School Australia (TBSA) was originally born under the name of "Ballet On Stage" and was opened in partnership, with the then world class ballerina - Elaine Fifield in Perth, Western Australia in 1982.  The school changed its name to "The Ballet School" in 1991 and continued their dedication to students from all walks of life and all ages.  With their exceptional teaching team and guest teachers  over the years, they have delivered on their promise to do their very best for their students always and are as proud of their ballet and performing arts students, as they are of the students that went on to excel in their chosen fields.  In 2010, the school shifted camp to New South Wales and in 2012, re-opened as "The Ballet School Australia" in Castle Hill, where we enjoyed a beautiful thriving school.  In 2019 , we decided it was time to move and we eventually settled in the magnificent Hawkesbury district and have our lovely new home at the original School of Arts in Windsor and we couldn't be happier. We have over 40 years experience in training students for ballet & the performing arts and our students have graced  companies such as The Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, The Royal Swedish, The West Australian Ballet, Staatsoper Berlin, Stuutgart, Hamburg and appeared in lead & supporting roles in musicals such as "Cats", "The Lion King" , "Fiddler on the Roof" & "Annie".  We have also had students grace "Cirque du Soleil" and been invited as artists in residence to many high profile dance organisations.  Equally, many of our students have continued on to have thriving and successful schools of their own and have also entered into the fields of  physiotherapy, nursing, specialist doctors, lawyers, accountants, promotion managers, emergency services staff to name a few.  This is a very brief synopsis of the successes of TBSA students and we are so proud and thrilled for EVERY single student who has danced with us.

We are delighted to be able to bring that exceptional experience, fresh ideas & additional new teachers into the fold. This phase marks a new beginning and we are so excited to be able to finally bring this to fruition.

“Individuality through Community” - this is fast becoming our catch cry. Every student will be encouraged to be develop as an individual but with the full support of the TBSA  community. That aspect NEVER changes.
